LAS VEGAS — In what has become a war of words primarily with his WBO junior welterweight (140 pounds) champion counterpart, Tim Bradley, WBA king, Amir Khan, launched the latest salvo on Friday evening.
The 23-year-old Englishman said that Bradley, “can’t sell a ticket,” adding, “I’d sell the fight because he can’t sell anything.”
“I think the thing that makes Timothy Bradley and most other fighters jealous is that whatever I touch, it’s like, it turns to gold. Whatever I touch. They want to fight Amir Khan because that’s where the big pay day is,” said Khan.
“There’s just no lying about that. You are going to get a big pay day by fighting Amir Khan,” said Khan. “I know people want to fight the best. I just know that Timothy Bradley simply wants to fight the best fighter in the division, and that’s me.”
